collection of recordings from the
archive of Mihály Bársony
(1915-1989). As well as an
accomplished musician, Mihály was
one of the last traditional
hurdy-gurdy makers and much of what
we hear on this CD was recorded by
him in the village of Tiszaalpár,
Hungary.
